Blake Gibson is a multimedia artist whose work
has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Root Division in
San Francisco, CA, the Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe, NM and the Australian
National University in Canberra, Australia. Some awards include Patron Award
for his work in Ink & Clay 35 at California State Polytechnic University,
Raymond Jonson Prize for graduate painting at the University of New Mexico and
the Friends of Art Prize at the Annual Juried Graduate Student Exhibition at
the University of New Mexico. Publications include Manifest International Drawing Annual 5 and Land Arts of the American West. Most recently, Blake was selected
for Introductions 2013 at Root Division, an annual juried exhibition of
emerging Bay Area artists.
Blake received an MFA from the University of New Mexico and a BFA from the University of South Carolina. He was born in Greer, SC and currently lives and works in San Francisco.
